In a small hamlet of Amruthāpura of Tarikére taluk is this HoysaLa marvel called the Amruthéshwara devAlaya.
Built during VīraballāLa 3 under the supervision of senāpathi Amruthéshwara, after whom it is named, it is an ekakūta with small shrine of devi Akhilāndeshwari on one side
It was built around 1196 CE and was later maintained and renovated by Vijayanagara kings
The low rise ornate compound is one beautiful feature of this temple with motifs of peacock , nātya GaNapati
